[H/T MOHIB EBRAHIM] -- THEFEDERALIST.COM -- [ISMAILI DIGEST ED: Hazar Imam, 2006: "Governments alone cannot meet the educational challenges of the 21st century. Nor can private institutions which are constrained by the necessity to earn a profit. The answer lies in the expanding role of civil society."] ARTICLE: The federal government's COVID-19 plan assumes the pandemic "will last 18 months or longer and could include multiple waves of illness." In meeting them, whether foreign or domestic, great or small, there is a recurring temptation to feel that some spectacular and costly action could become the miraculous solution to all current difficulties.... But each proposal must be weighed in the light of a broader consideration: the need to maintain balance in and among national programs-balance between the private and the public economy, balance between cost and hoped for advantage--balance between the clearly necessary and the comfortably desirable; balance between our essential requirements as a nation and the duties imposed by the nation upon the individual; balance between actions of the moment and the national welfare of the future. Good judgment seeks balance and progress; lack of it eventually finds imbalance and frustration....It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to ...

EVIEMAGAZINE.COM -- Should we be afraid of COVID-19? Well, that depends. What is the greatest thing that COVID-19 could take away? Your job, your security, your life? Those would cause fear in any person. However, religion provides a response to fear we have lost in our secular society. No matter the tragedy, they do not ultimately affect religious people's identities because their hope is rooted in the transcendent rather than earthly life.Religious people have a grounding that gives hope when faced with fear secularists simply don't have.
