YOUTUBE.COM -- PRAGERU -- [ISMAILI DIGEST ED: Hazrat Ali: "A man's reflection is the mirror that shows him his good and bad deeds."] ARTICLE: Blaming others for your problems is a complete waste of time. You don't learn anything. You can't mature nor improve your life. Now, there are people who seem to be consigned to a terrible fate. But most of us aren't. Most of us have a chance to improve our lives. But how? Start small. Ask yourself a few questions: Have you taken full advantage of the opportunities offered to you? Are you working to your fullest capacity at school or at work? Have you, in other words, set your own house in order? If the answer is no, try this: stop doing what you know to be wrong. Stop today. It's not a matter of accepting some external morality. It's a dialogue with your own conscience. What could you put right--right now? After some days, or weeks, or months ...

EVOLUTIONNEWS.ORG -- 2020 as the Year of the Expert? Not exactly. In fact, a motif for the year has been the failure of experts. The flip-side of this has been that thoughtful people, who aren't scientists, decided to think skeptically and independently for themselves. And to help them, World Magazine's Book of the Year award for science, for the lay reader, went to "The Mystery of Life's Origin: The Continuing Controversy," an updated edition of the 1984 classic with contributions by scientists like James Tour, Stephen Meyer, Brian Miller, Guillermo Gonzalez, Jonathan Wells. Rice chemistry professor James Tour's essay has the apt title, "We're Still Clueless About the Origin of Life." Tour appropriately ridicules reporters who fall for media hype about purported progress. He quotes ...
